Beata Safari, Esq. is Vice President, Senior Counsel and Assistant Secretary at Steven Madden, Ltd., where she advises the company, a global house of brands, on privacy, responsible AI, enterprise compliance, employment, commercial contracting, and board governance. She serves on its AI Governance Council and has led initiatives to strengthen vendor due diligence, automate data-subject request processes, modernize consent management, and align external privacy policies with evolving digital commerce practices. Beata’s prior experience includes counseling businesses on U.S. and international privacy requirements, building compliance programs for companies across industries, and assisting U.S. government clients with the public procurement process.

In her spare time, Beata teaches business law, tort law, and contract law at the Union College of New Jersey as an adjunct professor. Beata is also a frequent speaker and published author, holds an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, and a B.A. from George Washington University.
