Jeremy Thurswell
Chief Operating Officer,
Kitsch
Jeremy Thurswell is Chief Operating Officer of Kitsch, the Los Angeles–based hair care, personal care and fragrance brand. Thurswell and his co-founder wife, CEO Cassandra Morales Thurswell, started Kitsch in 2010. The company was bootstrapped and never raised outside funding. It has since become one of the fastest-growing independent beauty companies in the U.S., with sales of about $87 million in 2021, more than $300 million by 2024–25, and a projected $500 million-plus in 2026.
Jeremy built the operating infrastructure behind that growth. He oversees supply chain, manufacturing, logistics and omnichannel operations for a business that is now in more than 32,000 retail locations across 95 countries. Its retail partners include Target, Ulta Beauty, Walgreens and Whole Foods. Kitsch is the #1 accessory brand at Ulta Beauty, a top-10 beauty brand on Amazon and TikTok Shop, and the world’s best-selling bar shampoo brand. It holds more than 15 patents, and its hair perfume line has reached multi-eight-figure revenue. Under Jeremy, Kitsch has run DTC, Amazon, TikTok Shop and mass retail as one connected system. The company’s leaders now say it is “set up perfectly to be strategic and acquire other brands.”
Jeremy’s background is in supply chain management, operations, and B2B and B2C program management across beauty, cosmetics and fashion accessories. He has led Kitsch’s digital transformation work and built a collaborative, KPI-driven culture focused on developing talent. He speaks often on consumer-centric brand building and sustainable product innovation. He is also increasingly involved in policy issues that affect direct-to-consumer brands. Jeremy is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
